Time flies by so fast -- I've always heard people say that as you get older it goes even faster and though I'm not quite elegible for a senior cruise discount, I'm getting there, and yes, time seems to be traveling by faster than the wings fluttering on a hummingbird. So that's my excuse for not blogging since April. I completely missed May. I'll try not to let that happen again.
My own personal travel in the past two months included our fabulous adventure to Augusta, Georgia for the Master's Tournament. What an incredible experience -- if you ever have the chance to be part of this historic event, do not pass it up.
My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in New York in May. It is our favorite city in the United States(next to our home town of Chicago), and possibly in the world. We saw Broadway plays, ate incredible food, got in to both the Letterman show and Conan O'Brien's show, walked and walked and walked and took the subway everywhere! If you have any specific questions about our hotel or the restaurants we ate in, just let me know.
Believe it or not, we don't have any future travel plans. I think we are going to stay put for the summer. It isn't because of rising fuel prices or airport craziness, we just prefer to travel in off seasons. The prices are usually better, the weather is often great touring weather and the crowds are fewer. Though our beloved Florida is hotter than you know what, the snow birds are gone, the Gulf is warm and we can get into our favorite restaurants without having to wait for hours. So here we are for the next few months.
I will write more about summer travel later this week -- I promise!!!!!!!!!!
Until then, don't forget that life is too short for bad vacations and be sure to call me or e-mail me if you have any travel needs.
